Suzuki offers a capped-price servicing program for all of its current models, with the company’s Australian arm labelling it Suzuki Genuine Servicing.
As of October 1st 2019, Suzuki Australia updated its capped-price servicing plan to be even better for owners. It’s still a five-year plan that runs up to 100,000km - which is great if you tend to do a lot of driving.
The capped price servicing plan applies to all models in the range purchased from May 1, 2013 - including the Swift, Ignis, Vitara, S-Cross, Jimny and even the old APV and Grand Vitara.
The costs and service intervals vary depending on the car, and in some cases, the powertrain fitted.
For example, there are Swift models with turbocharged engines, and variants without. The turbocharged models have intervals set at 12 months/10,000km, while the non-turbo models are due for maintenance every 12 months/15,000km. That's not unusual, but is worth bearing in mind.
This updated plan is a big improvement over the existing service intervals of six months/10,000km, making it less tedious for owners to take care of their car. On average, the costs are lower, too, because you’re not required to go to the dealer twice a year for servicing. See the cost breakdown below.
There is five years of roadside assist for Jimny and Vitara models, but the rest of the range doesn't get complementary roadside assist included.
The company has also upped its warranty period to five years with unlimited-kilometre coverage for private buyers, while commercial operators have a five-year/160,000km cover for warranty.
Vehicles purchased prior to October 1, 2019, stick with the existing plan for servicing costs and intervals.
