If the Holden Acadia could talk it would have an American accent. That’s because this large, seven-seat SUV is made in Tennessee and wears a GMC badge when in the USA. Exported from the United States in right-hand drive the Holden Acadia has called Australia home since it first arrived here in 2018, effectively replacing the ageing seven-seat Captiva.
Buyers have a choice between a front-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive, although only one engine is available – a V6 petrol.
From launch there were three grades in the Holden Acadia range. The Acadia LT (2WD) kicks things off at $33,000 with the top model, Acadia LTZ-V (awd) priced at $54,340.
The Acadia is up against some pretty fierce seven-seater rivals in the form of Mazda’s CX-9, Kia Sorento and Nissan Pathfinder.
